NOTICE OF PROPOSED PRIVATE BILL.

In the matter of a Bill entitled “An Act to vary the Provisions of a certain Declaration of Trust, dated the 8th day of August, 1922, concerning the Endowment Fund for the Parish of St. Peter, Wellington, being a Parish in connection with the Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England.”

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of New Zealand relating to Private Bills, that application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled at its present session on behalf of the Reverend Canon Herbert Watson, Vicar of the above-mentioned Parish of St. Peter, George William Robinson, Insurance Manager, George Lawrence, Salesman, Sidney Albert Longuet, Merchant, and Alfred George Ballinger, Company Manager, all of the City of Wellington, the Trustees of the above-mentioned Endowment Fund, to introduce a Bill to be entitled “An Act to vary the Provisions of a certain Declaration of Trust dated the 8th day of August, 1922, concerning the Endowment Fund for the Parish of St. Peter, Wellington, being a Parish in connection with the Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England.”

By the said Bill it is intended to provide that the amount or value of the investments and properties which must be accumulated in the said fund before any of the income of the said fund can be expended or used shall be increased from £1,500 to £10,000, and that the costs, charges, and expenses of and attending the Act shall be paid out of the said fund.

A copy of the said proposed Bill will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Wellington on or before the 11th day of July, 1927.

N.Z., 1927, now residing in Dunedin, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 30th July, 1927, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Dunedin.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of MERCHANTS SUPPLIES, LIMITED, a company having its registered office in the City of Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of MERCHANTS SUPPLIES, LIMITED, held at Antwerp, at which every shareholder of the company was present, the following resolution was passed unanimously, and in compliance with the provisions of section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908, was entered in the minute-book of the company and signed by every member of the company :—

“Resolved, that the company liquidate as from 30th June, 1927, and that KEPPEL GOODWYN ARCHER be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the Company.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of JOHNSTON’S LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the above-named company, held on Wednesday, the 15th June, 1927, the following resolution was passed :—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same accordingly, and that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JOHN MACFARLANE ELLIFFE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for that purpose.”

Creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 20th day of July, 1927, to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidator, and if so required by notice in writing are to come in and prove their debts or claims, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, ENID ALICE WYLLIE, of Napier, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Costumiere, heretofore called and known by the name of ENID ALICE LEWIS, do hereby give public notice that on the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of LEWIS, and then assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Wyllie” instead of the name of “Lewis”; and I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand (Wellington District), Napier Registry, on the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Lewis,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted, and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of WYLLIE instead of LEWIS, and so as to be at all times hereafter called, known, and described by the name of WYLLIE exclusively.
