Aitutaki Wharf Regulations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of July, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section fifty-three of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend in the manner set out in the Schedule hereto the regulations relating to the Aitutaki Wharf and Cargo-sheds made by Order in Council on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twelfth day of the same month at page 736 ; and, with the like advice and consent, doth declare that the amendment hereby made shall come into operation on the date of the gazetting of this Order in Council.

SCHEDULE.

  1. ALL outward cargo from the Island of Aitutaki, all cargo landed at Aitutaki for transhipment, and all inward cargo as mentioned in Regulations 1, 2, and 3 of the Order in Council above referred to, which shall be delivered to or landed at the wharf or cargo sheds—
    (a) After the hour of 4 p.m. and before 7 a.m. the next day ; or
    (b) On a public holiday,
    shall be charged for at the rate of four shillings per ton, weight or measurement, in lieu of the charge mentioned in the said regulations.

  2. “Public holiday” means and includes Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, the day after Good Friday, Easter Monday, the 25th day of April (being Anzac Day), the Sovereign’s birthday, the 8th day of October (being Proclamation Day in Aitutaki), the 11th day of November (being Armistice Day), or any day legally observed in Aitutaki in lieu of any of the said public holidays.

Samoa Customs Consolidation Amendment Order, 1927 (No. 3).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of June, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of Samoa, conferred on him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby amend the Samoa Customs Consolidation Order, 1923, by making the following regulations:—

REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Samoa Customs Consolidation Amendment Order, 1927 (No. 3), and shall be read with and form part of the Samoa Customs Consolidation Order, 1923.

  2. The Second Schedule (Export Duties) to the Samoa Customs Consolidation Order, 1923, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional item:—

Tariff No. Goods. Rates of Duty.
5 Bêche-de-Mer .. ½d. per lb.
