THE following notice to mariners, which has been received from the Hydrographer of the Navy, London, is published for general information.

Great Barrier Island, Northern End.—Caution re Chart.

Position on Chart.—Miner’s head, lat. 36° 04′ S., long. 175° 21′ E. (approx.).

Caution.—Attention is drawn to the following notes, which are to be inserted on the charts as specified :—

Chart No. 2559 (against Miner’s head) : Reported incorrectly charted (1926).

Chart No. 3565 (below the title) : Caution—The northern end of Great Barrier Island is reported to be incorrectly charted (1926).

[NOTE.—On chart No. 3565 the note “(See Caution)” is to be inserted northward of Miner’s head.]

Notice by the Public Trustee declaring his Intention to take Possession of and administer Property under Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its Amendments.

WHEREAS George Hutton Wilson, of Whakatane, Taxi-proprietor, is entitled to the sum of £7 16s. 4d. being the balance of cash held for the said George Hutton Wilson, by Messrs. Buddle and Otley, Solicitors, of Whakatane :

And whereas it is not known where the said George Hutton Wilson is, or whether he is alive or dead : And whereas the Public Trustee has been requested to take possession of and administer the said property : And whereas the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable, in the interests of the said George Hutton Wilson, that he should do so : And whereas the value of the said property does not exceed £1,000 :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred on him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, the Public Trustee, with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board, hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of such property, and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the said section 87.
