mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 2 roods
37 perches.
Being portion of Section 23, situated in Block VIII, Mako-
tuku Survey District. (S.O. 2185.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68842,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of
May, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Ferguson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a street at the
corner of Ghuznee and Taranaki Streets, and shall vest in the
Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as
from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
sixteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven.

Being portion of Town Section 160, situated in City of Wel-
