ERRATA.—In Schedule to amending Proclamation setting apart Crown land as and for provisional State forests, published in Gazette No. 30, dated 19/5/27, at page 1467, read “part Run 129” for “part Run 127.”

In the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 15th day of June, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 53, page 1724, of the 21st day of June, 1923, taking additional land for the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Wairoa towards Gisborne) and for a road-diversion in connection therewith, in Blocks XIII, Opoiti, and I, Clyde Survey Districts, for the first area read “1 rood 3·4 perches” in lieu of “1 rood 34 perches.”

Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth day of that month, the land described in the Schedule hereto was declared to be a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 :

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WAIKOPIRO WATERFALL SCENIC RESERVE.

SECTION 23, Block X, Takapau Survey District: Area, 7 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of June, 1927.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Te Maipi No. 9 Block, Wellington Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act :

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 3 acres 2 roods 16 perches.

Portion of Te Maipi No. 9 Block, situated in Block II, Kaiwhata Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2875, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2217, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of June, 1927.
