Boundaries of Borough of Te Kuiti and County of Waitomo altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of May, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the Borough of Te Kuiti and included in the County of Waitomo:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended certain alterations of the said area:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alterations of the boundaries of the said borough recommended by the said Commission and to declare to what riding of the said county such area shall be added:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Te Kuiti and included in the County of Waitomo; and with the like advice and consent doth hereby further declare that as on and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in the County of Waitomo shall be added to and form part of the Te Kuiti Riding of that county.
SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAITOMO.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of part Pukenui 2r, Section 3, as shown on plan 15840, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lot 1 of part Lot 1 on plan 12737, deposited as aforesaid, and part Pukenui 2r, Section 3, on plan 16930, deposited as aforesaid, for a distance of 3142·6 links; thence south-westerly along part of the western boundary of part Pukenui 2r, Section 3, on plan 16930 aforesaid, and that line produced for a distance of 1308 links; thence by a right line to road peg No. XIII, a distance of 3080·4 links; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner of Lot 2 on plan 6731, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Pukenui 2n, Section E, Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned subdivision; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on plan 12737, deposited as aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of that lot; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Tapuiwahine Nos. 1c and 1a, and easterly along the southern boundary of Te Kumi 3b No. 3 Block, to the point of commencement.

Directing Sale of Railway Land under the Public Works Act, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the said land.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 4 acres 3 roods 29 perches.
Portion of railway reserve, Block X, Takapau Survey District, Dannevirke County. (S.O. 892, green.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39199, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Public Highways in the No. 17 Highway District, Peninsula County, to be Main Highways.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of May, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that on and after the date of this Order in Council the public highways mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be main highways within the meaning and for the purpose of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
DUNEDIN–PORTOBELLO (Low Road): All that portion of the road, known as the Dunedin–Portobello (Low Road), commencing at the boundary of the City of Dunedin at Vauxhall and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction, and terminating at the south-western corner of Section 10, Block VI, Portobello Survey District, passing through the County of Peninsula; being a distance of 10 miles 16 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked M.H. 40, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board, Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.
Dunedin–Portobello (High Road): All that portion of the road, known as the Dunedin–Portobello (High Road), commencing at the boundary of the City of Dunedin at the northern corner of Section 7, Block VII, Anderson’s Bay Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction, and terminating at the junction with the Dunedin–Portobello Low Road (at Portobello), passing through the County of Peninsula; being a distance of 8 miles 65 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked M.H. 40, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board, Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of main highways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of gazetting of this Order in Council, become Government roads.
