THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 31
of Christchurch City lying between Park Terrace and Elgin Street, Armagh and Kilmore Streets; and less that portion of Christchurch City between Armagh, Kilmore, Elgin, and Colombo Streets now forming part of the Christchurch North Electoral District hereinbefore described; also less that portion between King and Huxley, Colombo and Montrose Streets now forming part of Christchurch East Electoral District hereinbefore described.
AVON.
Avon District comprises the existing Avon Electoral District together with that portion hereinbefore described of the existing Christchurch North Electoral District, and less that portion of the New Brighton Borough now included in the Kaiapoi Electoral District hereinbefore described.
RICCARTON.
Riccarton District comprises the existing Riccarton Electoral District, together with the whole of No. 2 and No. 3 Ridings of Halswell County, the whole of Wairewa County, the whole of Springs County, the Prebbleton, Broadfield, and Ladbrooks Ridings of Paparua County; also that portion of Irwell Riding of Ellesmere County lying between the Selwyn River and Cranmer Road, and Brookside and Durham Road and Lake Ellesmere; less Homebush Riding and part Courtenay Riding of Malvern County, the Yaldhurst, West Melton, Templeton, and Islington Ridings of Paparua County; also less part of Papanui Riding of Waimairi County now forming part of the Kaiapoi Electoral District hereinbefore described.
LYTTELTON.
Lyttelton District comprises the existing Lyttelton Electoral District unaltered.
ELLESMERE.
Ellesmere District comprises the existing Ellesmere Electoral District together with the Borough of Ashburton, portions of the Upper Ashburton Riding, South Rakaia Riding, South Rakaia and Wakanui Road Districts, lying between the existing electoral-district boundary and the Ashburton River; less that portion of the Halswell County, the Ellesmere County, and the whole of the Springs and Wairewa Counties now included in the Riccarton Electoral District hereinbefore described.
TEMUKA.
This district comprises the whole of the Geraldine County, the Boroughs of Temuka and Geraldine, and the Town Districts of Pleasant Point and Tinwald; also the Mount Somers, Anama, Upper Ashburton, Longbeach, and Coldstream Road Districts, and that portion of the Point Riding of Levels County lying between the Ashburton River and the existing electoral-district boundary of Timaru on the east, and on the west by Flat and Ross Roads and Tengawai River, Totara Valley, and School Roads.
TIMARU.
Timaru District comprises the existing Timaru Electoral District unaltered.
WAITAKI.
This district comprises the whole of the Mackenzie County; the whole of Waimate County; the Ahururi, Otekaike, and Awamoko Ridings of Waitaki County; the Borough of Waimate, and the whole of Tengawai and that portion of the Otipua Riding of Levels County not included in the existing Timaru Electoral District, and Point Riding of the said Levels County, excluding the part included in Temuka Electoral District hereinbefore described.
OAMARU.
Oamaru District comprises the existing Oamaru Electoral District together with the whole of the Hawkesbury Riding of Waikouaiti County, the Borough of Waikouaiti, and that portion of the Merton Riding of the aforesaid county lying between the existing electoral-district boundary of Chalmers and the southern boundary of Hawkesbury Riding aforesaid.
DUNEDIN NORTH.
Dunedin North District comprises the existing Dunedin North Electoral District; less that portion of Dunedin City lying between the existing electoral-district boundary, and bounded on the west and north by Royal Terrace, Pitt, Queen, and Albany Streets, now included in the Electoral District of Dunedin West.
DUNEDIN WEST.
Dunedin West District comprises the existing Dunedin West Electoral District together with that portion of Dunedin City now excluded from the Dunedin North Electoral District hereinbefore described; and less that portion of Dunedin City lying between Canongate, Dowling, and High Streets, and the railway boundary to its junction with the existing electoral-district boundary at Albany Street, now included in Dunedin Central Electoral District.
DUNEDIN CENTRAL.
Dunedin Central District comprises the existing Dunedin Central Electoral District together with the balance of the North-east Harbour District, and that portion of the High-cliff Riding of Peninsula County lying between the western boundary of Section 52, Block 3, Peninsula Survey District, south-west boundaries of Sections 62, 63, 65, and 67 of Block 2 of the said survey district; and that portion of Dunedin City lying between Canongate, Dowling, and High Streets, and the existing electoral-district boundary hereinbefore described; and less that portion of Dunedin City lying between Caversham Valley Road, Fergusson Street, and the railway-line as far as King Street and the existing electoral-district boundary on the south; less also that portion of the said city bounded on the north by northern boundary of Section 50, on the south by Caversham Valley Road, and being the whole of Sections 50, 48, 49, 47, 46, 42, 41, 38, 37, 34, and 33, town district; less also that portion lying between Melbourne Street on the north and the existing electoral-district boundary on the south, King Edward Street on the west, and Anderson’s Bay Road on the east.
DUNEDIN SOUTH.
Dunedin South District comprises the existing Dunedin South Electoral District together with those portions of Dunedin City now excluded from the Dunedin Central District hereinbefore described; and less that portion of North Taieri Riding contained between the existing electoral-district boundary and the southern boundary of the said riding; and less that portion of the Kaikorai Riding now included in the Chalmers Electoral District hereinafter described; less also the Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island, and the Green Island Bush District.
CHALMERS.
Chalmers District comprises the existing Chalmers Electoral District together with the Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island, and those portions of Taieri Riding and Green Island Bush District, and that portion of the Kaikorai Riding lying between the Chain Hills Road on the north, the existing Dunedin South Electoral boundary on the south, the western boundary of Green Island Borough, the railway-line and road forming the south-western boundary of Section 75 (Block VII, Dunedin), and East Taieri Survey District on the north-east, now excluded from the Dunedin South Electoral District hereinbefore described; and less those portions of the existing Chalmers Electoral District now included in the Dunedin Central Electoral District hereinbefore described; less also the whole of the Waitahuna and other ridings now included in the Clutha Electoral District hereinafter described, less also the whole of Strath Taieri Riding of Taieri County and that portion of Deep Stream Riding of said county now included in the Otago Central District hereinafter described.
INVERCARGILL.
Invercargill District comprises the existing Invercargill Electoral District unaltered.
WALLACE.
Wallace District comprises the existing Wallace Electoral District together with the portion of Waikaiia Riding of Southland County lying south of East Dorne and Western Umbrella, and bounded on the east by county boundary, and on the west and south by existing electoral-district boundaries; less that portion of the Winton Riding of Southland County now included in the Awarua Electoral District hereinafter described.
AWARUA.
Awarua District comprises the existing Awarua Electoral District together with that portion of the Winton Riding of Southland County bounded on the south by existing electoral-district boundary, on the west by Blocks 35 and 39 of Hokonui Survey District, on the north by northern boundary of Blocks 36 and 37 and the Dipton Stream to the road intersecting Section 136A to the railway-line; thence by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 256, 363, 432, 549, 426, 658, 335, and north-western boundary of Section 796 to the northern boundary of Winton Riding, and

Electoral Districts, Boundaries, South Island, Representation Commission
