THE SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER
BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the South
Canterbury Electric-power Board, hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of thirty-six thousand pounds (£36,000),
authorized to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric-
power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the con-
struction of electric works and such other matters as are
provided for by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and
in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by sections 118,
119, and 120 of the said Act, for the benefit of the Mackenzie
County Special Area, the said South Canterbury Electric-
power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-
third (⅓) of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value
(being the capital value), of all rateable property in the said
Mackenzie County Special Area, comprising the whole of that
portion of the County of Mackenzie contained in the South
Canterbury Electric-power District Inner Area, and that
such rate shall be an annually recurring one during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
