THE following result of an election of members of a River Board has been received from the Returning Officer, and is published in accordance with the provisions of the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913.

Unclaimed Lands.
NOTICE BY THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE UNDER THE PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE ACT, 1908 (PART II), AND ITS AMENDMENTS.
TO the respective owners of the following lands, situated at Harapepe, in the County of Raglan, in the Provincial District of Auckland, that is to say: Those pieces of land, containing each 1 acre, being Allotments 24, 48, 65, 66, 68, 69, and 72, Town of Harapepe (or Harapipi), originally granted by the Crown to Henry Jeffares, George Osborne, John Bidgood, Heinrich Pohlen, Joseph Mulligan, David Caughey, and James Quick Tristram, respectively:
Whereas the respective owners of the above-mentioned pieces of land cannot after due inquiry be found, and have no known agents in New Zealand:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon each of such owners within six months from the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to his respective piece of the said lands: And notice is hereby given that if any such owner does not within such time so establish his title, the Public Trustee will, in each and every such case, exercise the powers and authorities granted to the Public Trustee in respect of unclaimed lands in and by the above-mentioned Act.

IN pursuance of the regulations made in terms of section 9 (5) of the Education Act, 1914, it is hereby notified that—
For the election of members to represent the Education Boards of the North Island on the above-mentioned Council the following nominations were received, viz.:-
James Robert Kirk and Tom Umfrey Wells.
For the election of members to represent the Education Boards of the South Island the following nominations were received, viz. :-
William Alexander Banks and David Thomas Fleming.
For the election of a member to represent the certified male public-school teachers of the North Island the following nomination was received :-
Herbert Glanville Cousins.
For the election of a member to represent the certified women public-school teachers of the North Island the following nomination was received, viz. :-
Blanche Eleanor Carnachan.
For the election of a member to represent the certified women public-school teachers of the South Island the following nomination was received, viz. :-
Emily Anne Chaplin.
As the number of persons nominated in each instance does not exceed the number to be elected, I hereby declare James Robert Kirk, Tom Umfrey Wells, William Alexander Banks, David Thomas Fleming, Herbert Glanville Cousins, Blanche Eleanor Carnachan, and Emily Anne Chaplin, to be duly elected members of the General Council of Education.

Appointing Clerk to Transport Appeal Board.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by Regulation 33 of the Motor-omnibus (Licensing) Regulations, 1926, I, Kenneth Stuart Williams, Minister of Public Works, do hereby revoke the appointment of James Milne Adam as Clerk to the Transport Appeal Board of No. 4 Motor-omnibus District, and do hereby appoint (with the approval of the Public Service Commissioner)
Henry Morgan
as Clerk of the said Transport Appeal Board.

Fixing Charges to be made on Kauri-gum exported from New Zealand.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Kauri-gum Control Board, acting under the power conferred on it by section 17 of the Kauri-gum Control Act, 1925, has fixed the charges to be made by way of levy on all kauri-gum exported from New Zealand on and after the 1st day of May, 1927, the date fixed in that behalf by the Governor-General in Council, as follows:—
(a) Fifteen shillings per centum of the current f.o.b. export value of such kauri-gum during the period from the 1st day of May, 1927, to the 31st day of October, 1927, both dates inclusive.
(b) Thirty shillings per centum of the current f.o.b. export value of such kauri-gum on and after the 1st day of November, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the under-mentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and amendments.
