(f) For the purposes of this regulation “business of the Board” means any business authorized by the said Act to be performed by a member, and transacted by such member pursuant only to a resolution of the Board, and includes, where not otherwise mentioned, a meeting of the Board or any committee thereof.
(g) This regulation shall not apply to any member of the Board who is an officer of the Public Service, but such a member shall be entitled to any travelling expenses or allowance provided for by the regulations for the time being governing the Public Service.”

Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of Winton, Southland Land District.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve set duly apart for Post and Telegraph purposes, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for Post and Telegraph purposes to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 1, Block I, Town of Winton: Area, 1 rood 8 perches.

Defining the Limits of the Port of Brighton.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested by the sixth section of the Harbours Act, 1923, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby define the limits of the Port of Brighton to be—
All that area of tidal land and tidal water inside a straight line drawn from a point at the north-eastern extreme of Barney’s Island to a point half a chain inside of North Cliff Head. As the same is more particularly shown and delineated, coloured yellow and blue, on plan marked M.D. 5189, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of April, 1927.
