[IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held at Denniston on the 26th February, 1927, the following special resolutions were passed, and the same were duly confirmed at a further extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held at Denniston on the 14th March, 1927:—

  1. That, the property of the company being now disposed of, it is desirable to wind up the same, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That JOHN RADFORD be appointed Liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on Thursday, the 27th January, 1927, the following special resolutions were passed:—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That ARTHUR STEPHEN MACSHANE, of Wellington, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
    Further, that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on Wednesday, 6th April, 1927, the above special resolutions were duly confirmed.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned ROBERT DUNCAN and JOHN WILLIAM YOUNG, carrying on business as Butchers at Northland, under the firm name or style of “Duncan and Young,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 2nd day of April, 1927. From which date all debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said John William Young, who will continue to carry on the said business.

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Piraunui Special-rating Area.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of constructing new drainage-works, viz.: To cleanse, deepen, and widen existing watercourses, drains, and outfalls, and to make and construct new watercourses, drains, and outfalls, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate, on a graduated scale according to the classification of lands, within the area herein-after described, i.e., twopence in the pound upon lands classified “A”; one penny in the pound upon lands classified “B”; one halfpenny in the pound upon lands classified “C,” upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Piraunui Special-rating Area, Hungahunga Drainage District, which comprises portions of Block XVI, Waitoa Survey District, Block XI, Aroha Survey District, and Blocks I, IV, V, VI, IX, Wairere Survey District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £600 authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling portion of Steel’s Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and three-eighths of a penny (1¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Steel’s Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland in Block I, Wairere Survey District, bounded commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Section 5 to the north, by the northern boundary of Section 5 to the south-west corner of Section 3; thence due north for a distance of 40 chains by the western boundary of Section 3; thence due east for a distance of 55 chains through the centre of Sections 3 and 4; towards the east by a direct line parallel with the Alexander Road through Sections 4 and 8 for a distance of 65 chains; towards the south by a direct line running parallel with Steel’s Road through Sections 8 and 7 to the boundary between Sections 7 and 5; then by the eastern boundary of Section 5 to its south-east corner; thence by its southern boundary to its south-west corner, and towards the west by the western boundary of Section 5 to the point of commencement: And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorized to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Health Act, 1920, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf for the following purposes, namely: The providing within the district of the Wanganui City Council of the following sanitary-works, that is to say: The extension of existing sewers and the construction, making, and supplying of additional sewers in those portions of the district of the city hereinafter particularly mentioned for the distances hereinafter stated, that is to say: Heads Road, 47 chains; Raupo Street, 18·5 chains; Puriri Street, 81·5 chains; Bennett Street, 10 chains; Totara Street, 10 chains; Nikau Street, 14 chains; Mosstown Road (Street), 30 chains; Miro Street, 20 chains; Hinau Street, 20 chains; Tongariro Street, 20 chains; Raupenu Street, 15 chains; Kowhai Street, 15 chains; Titoki Street, 15 chains; Anzac Parade, 35·5 chains; Tinirau Street, 10 chains; Maketu Street, 6 chains; Jones Street,
