in the County of Horowhenua shall be added to and form
part of the Otaki Riding of that county.
SCHEDULE.
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF OTAKI.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waitohu
Stream in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 3 on plan
3364, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar
at Wellington; thence along the middle of the Waitohu
Stream to the eastern side of the Old Coach Road; thence
southerly along the eastern side of the Old Coach Road to the
westernmost corner of Pukekaraka No. 5; thence across that
road and southerly along its western side to the north-eastern
corner of Piritha No. 3 Block; thence along the northern
and western boundaries of Piritha No. 3 to the northern
boundary of Piritha No. 4 and along the northern boundary
of Piritha No. 4 to the eastern boundary of Lot 4 on plan
3364 aforesaid; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries
of Lots 4 and 3 aforesaid, and that boundary produced to
the middle of the Waitohu Stream, the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the confluence of the Maringiwi
Stream and the Maungapiharau Creek; thence up the
Maungapiharau Creek to its intersection with the western
boundary of Maungapiharau Block; thence along that
boundary to the south-western corner of the said block;
thence westerly along the southern boundary of the Takapu
Block to its south-western corner; thence along the western
boundary of the said Takapu Block to and across a public
road, and thence along the northern side of that road to its
intersection with the Rangiuru Creek; thence along the
eastern bank of that creek to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Lot 5 on plan 3364, deposited in the
office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence
to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 5, 6, and 8, on
plan 3364 aforesaid to the place of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Naval
Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in that behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, do hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as
shown therein.

Declaring a Portion of Main Highway in the No. 16 Highway
District, Waikouaiti County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
April, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of main highway described in the Schedule hereto
shall, on and after the date of gazetting of this Order in
Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
DUNEDIN-CHRISTCHURCH: All that portion of the Dunedin-
Christchurch Main Highway commencing at the southern
boundary of Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction and
terminating at a point opposite the southern boundary of
Section 30, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District, passing
through the Waikouaiti County, being a distance of 1 mile
40 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68636, deposited in
the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, in
the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern and Southern Sides of Portion of Heberden
Avenue and the North-western Side of Portion of Government
Road (Ocean View Terrace), in the Borough of Sumner,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-
lines.
