OTAGO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
Loan of £4,000.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000, authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for reticulation, &c., of the Lawrence-Tuapeka-Bruce Area, the said Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lawrence-Bruce-Tuapeka Area described by Proclamation in New Zealand Gazette, 23rd December, 1926, and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £13,426 15s. 11d.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,426 15s. 11d. (being part of 10 per cent. of an original loan) authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes—namely, the reticulation of the district, erection of stand-by plant and other contingencies, and purchase of Milton reticulation—the said Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Otago Electric-power District as described in the New Zealand Gazette on 18th October, 1923, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
