to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, as from the 22nd day of March, 1927.
John Baird Thompson, Esquire,
to be Land Purchase Controller for the purposes of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as from the 1st day of April, 1927.

STAFF.
Lieutenant S. Frickleton, V.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer 7A, and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Hawke’s Bay Regiment. Dated 24th November, 1926.
Lieutenant F. E. B. Ivimey, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Area Officer (Area 7A) and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Hawke’s Bay Regiment. Dated 18th December, 1926.
Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer (Area 8B), Hawera, and Adjutant, 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Queen Alexandra’s Wellington West Coast). Dated 18th January, 1927.
Lieutenant J. N. Henry, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Area Officer (Area 8B), Hawera, and Adjutant, 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Queen Alexandra’s Wellington West Coast). Dated 19th January, 1927.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 24th March, 1927, relating to Major H. D. McHugh, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishing the appointment of Area Officer Area 10c, Timaru, for the words “dated 3rd February, 1927,” read “dated 28th February, 1927.”
ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY.
With reference to the notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of 3rd March, 1927, relating to Captain A. de T. Nevill relinquishing the appointment of Acting Inspecting Ordnance Officer, for the words “Dated 11th January, 1927,” read “Dated 15th November, 1926.”
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of 3rd March, 1927, relating to Captain W. Ivory is cancelled, and the following substituted: Captain W. Ivory relinquishes the appointment of Officer in Charge, Harbour Defences and O.C., R.N.Z.A. Detachment, Northern Command, and is seconded to the N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps as Inspecting Ordnance Officer and Ordnance Mechanical Engineer. Dated 15th November, 1926.
With reference to the notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of 3rd March, 1927, relating to the appointment of Lieutenant C. S. J. Duff after the words “(60 pr. and Coast),” add “and Adjutant, Coast Artillery Group.”
