whiro Block; thence along the western boundary of Matuowhiro and Paparuhe Blocks to the north-western corner of last-mentioned block; thence along the northern boundary of the Paparuhe Block to its north-eastern corner; thence along the eastern boundary of Paparuhe Block and part Lot 1 on plan 3924, deposited in the office to the District Land Registrar at Napier, to the northern boundary of the Patangata County; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly generally along the boundaries of the Patangata County as at present constituted to the south-western boundary of the Waipukurau County as at present constituted; thence along that boundary to the south-western boundary of Waipawa County as at present constituted; thence westerly, northerly, and easterly generally along that boundary to the south-western corner of Matuowhiro Block, the point of commencement, and including therein the Boroughs of Waipawa and Waipukurau and the Town District of Otane.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of April, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 2 roods 1 perch.
Being portion of Waipiro A 16, situated in Block XI, Mata Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1280, brown.)
In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68575, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of March, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Waikaremoana scheme, Gisborne Substation-site); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
