THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford County Denmark Terrace Special-rating District Loan of £200, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and metalling Denmark Terrace from the present end of the metal to the Radnor Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh (1/7th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Denmark Terrace Special-rating District, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 46, Block XIII, Huiroa Survey District, southerly to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 46, 45, 44, 43, and 42 to the south-western corner of Section 42; thence northerly to the south-eastern corner of Sub. I of Section 41, and westerly along the southern boundary of Sub. I of Section 41 to the eastern boundary of Section 40; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 40 and 51 to the eastern boundary of Section 37; thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the section to the south-eastern corner of Section 39, Block XVI, Egmont Survey District; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 39, 38, 37, 36, and 35; thence along the western and northern boundaries of that section and the northern boundaries of Sections 36, 37, 33, 34, 24, 25, and 26, Block XVI, Egmont Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 27 of Block XIII, Huiroa Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33 to the north-eastern corner of Section 33; thence along the eastern boundaries of Section 33 and Subs. 9, 10, and 11 of Section 34 to the Radnor Road; thence along the Radnor Road to the starting-point.

Akama Road Loan, £700.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford County Akama Road Special-rating District Loan of £700, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and metalling the Akama Road from the Makuri Road to Mr. Iremonger’s gate, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Akama Road Special-rating District in the County of Stratford, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 7, Block IX, Ngatimaru Survey District, eastward along the northern boundary of that section and Sections 5, 6, and 7 of Block X, Ngatimaru Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 7; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Sections 7 and 9 to the south-eastern corner of Section 9; thence westward along the southern boundaries of Sections 9, 8, and 5 of Block X, Ngatimaru Survey District, and along the southern and western boundaries of Section 7, Block IX, Ngatimaru Survey District, to the starting-point.

South Mangaehu, Perry’s, and Tauwharenikau Roads Loan, £1,500.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford County South Mangaehu, Perry’s, and Tauwharenikau Roads Special-rating District Loan of £1,500, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling portions of the South Mangaehu, Perry’s, and Tauwharenikau Roads, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-pence and three-eighths (3⅜ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the South Mangaehu, Perry’s, and Tauwharenikau Roads Special-rating District, being described as part Section 1s, Sections 2s, 3s, 4s, part Section 5s, Sections 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, Tawhiwhi Settlement, Omona Survey District, and being more particularly shown and outlined in green on a plan deposited at the office of the Public Trustee, Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE partnership hitherto existing between LILLIAN HANRAHAN and WILLIAM JAMES BROWN, as Butchers, and carried on in the shop known as “The Ox Meat Company’s” shop at Hastings, has been dissolved as from the 31st day of December, 1926. All debts due or owing to the late firm are to be paid to Mr. WILLIAM JAMES BROWN, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge, and he will discharge all the liabilities of the late firm.

The business hitherto known as “The Ox Meat Company” will be continued by Mr. BROWN. Mrs. HANRAHAN will continue in business in Hastings as a Butcher on the premises lately occupied by the City Meat Company.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Wanganui County Council to execute a certain public work—to wit, the acquisition of land and erection of a worker’s dwelling in the County of Wanganui, and for the purpose of such public work to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the land described in the Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the plan showing the land required to be taken for the said public work, with the names of the owner and occupier of such land, is deposited at the office of the Wanganui County Council, in Campbell Place, in the City of Wanganui, and is there open to inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wanganui County Council at its office aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

The Parcel of Land mentioned hereunder.

Approximate area of the parcel of land required to be taken: 9 acres 1 rood 9 perches; being Section or Lot 2, Matahiwi Township, D.P. 5595; situated in Block XI, Survey District of Tauakira, Township of Matahiwi, in the County of Wanganui, and coloured pink in outline.

All in the Land District of Wellington, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
