Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Street, in Borough of Waipukurau, near Wai-
pukurau.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable to
allocate such land to the purposes of a street :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be
under the control of the Waipukurau Borough Council, and
shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as
other public highways are controlled and maintained by the
said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 3 roods 37·2 perches.
Portion of Railway Reserve (Block XVI, Waipukurau
C.G.D.), Borough of Waipukurau. (S.O. 884, green.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39050, de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of
January, 1927.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block I, Tutaki Survey
District—viz., Batchelor’s Deviation, being Part of the Nelson
to Westport Main Highway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and
the Public Works Amendment Act, 1923, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the road desired
to be constructed over Block I, Tutaki Survey District—viz.
Batchelor’s Deviation, being part of the Nelson to Westport
Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on Doughboy Creek Road near the
southern boundary of Section 82, Block I, Tutaki Survey Dis-
trict, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly
direction, passing in, into, through, or over part of the said
Section 82, Section 81, and road reserve in Section 80,
Block I, Tutaki Survey District, and terminating at a point
on the said road reserve (Doughboy Creek Road); being
a distance of 33 chains, more or less; including all adjoining
and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes,
rivers, streams, and watercourses. All in the Nelson Land
District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 67920, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon marked A–B.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of
January, 1927.
