WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, and for the purpose of providing additional funds for works, buildings, land, and equipment necessary in connection with the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy within the Wairarapa Electric-power District, the said Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lake Ferry Special-rating Area, comprising all that land situated in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District on the eastern bank of the Ruamahanga River at the north-west corner of Section 85, Block V, Haurangi Survey District, and following in an easterly direction generally the northern boundary of the said Section 85 and the northern boundary of Section 52 to where it meets the south-western bank of the Tauanui River; thence following this river in a south-easterly direction to the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District at the northern corner of Section 1, Block X, Haurangi Survey District; thence following in a south-westerly direction generally the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District to where it meets the north-eastern boundary of the Taranganui Block; thence following in a westerly direction generally the northern and western boundaries of the Taranganui Block to the Taranganui River; thence following in a south-easterly direction the Taranganui River to where the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District crosses such river at the north-east corner of Section 4, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District; thence following in a southerly direction the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District to the south-east corner of the said Section 4; thence following in a westerly direction the southern boundaries of Sections 4, 5, 6, and 8, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District, to the south-west corner of the said Section 8; thence crossing the Whangamoana Road by a right line to a point on the eastern boundary of Section 13, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District, and following in a southerly direction the eastern boundaries of the said Section 13 and of Section 12 and 10, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District, to the coast, which is also the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District; thence following this boundary in a westerly direction to Onoke Lake, and in a northerly direction to the starting-point, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HUNTERVILLE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hunter-ville Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Hunter-ville Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for a culvert in High Street, Hunter ville, the said Hunter ville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth (1/24th) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Hunter ville Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April, 1927, and in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between LAWRENCE PATRICK HOWARD and NORMAN WALTER TAYLOR, carrying on business as hotel-keepers at the Shamrock Hotel, Maclaggan Street, Dunedin, under the style or firm of “Howard and Taylor,” has been dissolved as from the 9th day of February, 1927, on which date the said Norman Walter Taylor retired from the said firm.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 26th day of February, 1927, the following resolution was carried :—
“That James Fleming (Limited), a private company with limited liability, duly incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at the Wellington Wool Company’s Building, Lichfield Street, Christchurch, be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. A. O. WILKINSON, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between ALEXANDER MORTLAND and JAMES COOK YOUNG under the style or firm of “Mortland and Young,” at Palmerston North, as Land Agents, has been dissolved as from the 1st day of March, 1927, by mutual consent.
All debts owing from or to the firm will be discharged or received by the said Alexander Mortland, who will continue to carry on the business at Palmerston North aforesaid.

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised for the purpose of acquiring land and the erections thereon of workers’ dwellings in the borough, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-six four-hundredths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE MOTUNAU RABBIT-PROOF FENCING DISTRICT, PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF CANTERBURY.
In the matter of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908, Part IV, and Section 109 thereof, and in the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.
I, SIR CHARLES RALPH CAMPBELL, Baronet, in the County of Waipara, Sheepfarmer, Chairman of the Motunau Rabbit Board of Trustees, do hereby certify and declare that the total number of ratepayers being owners or occupiers of land within the said district do not exceed forty, and that a majority of them in number, possessing a majority of votes, have by writing under their hands addressed and delivered to me, as Chairman of the said Board, consented to a proposal by the said Board to the raising of a loan of three thousand pounds for the purpose of construction of rabbit-proof wire-netting fences by the said Board, on or near to the boundary of the said district, including the conversion of non-rabbit-proof fences into rabbit-proof wire-netting fences, and to the levying by the said Board of a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound on the rateable value of the said lands within the said district for the payment
