Altering Boundaries of Pahiatua and Woodville Counties, and
including Area in Kumeroa Riding, Woodville County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section
fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, that the boundaries
of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance
with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the
Council of each of such counties in which the Counties Act
is in force :

And whereas a resolution was passed by the Pahiatua
County Council on the seventh day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-six, praying for the alteration of the
boundaries of the Pahiatua and Woodville Counties in the
manner described in the said resolution and in the First
Schedule hereto :

And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Wood-
ville County Council on the fourth day of February, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-six :

And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations in
accordance with the said resolutions, and that the area to be
added to the Woodville County should be included in the
Kumeroa Riding of that county :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, General Sir
Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part
of the Pahiatua County, shall be added to and form part of
the Woodville County ; that the boundaries of the Woodville
and Pahiatua Counties as so altered shall be those set forth
under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto ;
that the area added as aforesaid to the Woodville County
shall be included in the Kumeroa Riding of the said county ;
and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth
in the Third Schedule hereto.

And I do also proclaim and declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on the first day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-seven.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM PAHIATUA COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN
WOODVILLE COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section
R 48, Block XVI, Makuri Survey District ; then southerly
and westerly generally along the Rabbit Fence Reserve to
its intersection with the north-western boundary of the land
shown on plan 4376, deposited in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Wellington ; then westerly generally
along that boundary to the western boundary of Section 13,
Block III, Makuri Survey District ; then northerly along
that boundary to Totara Road, and westerly along that road
to the Rabbit Fence Reserve ; then north-westerly along
that reserve to the northern boundary of the Makuri Survey
District ; then easterly along that northern boundary to
the north-eastern corner of R 48, Block XVI, Makuri Survey
District, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

WOODVILLE COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Hawkeโ€™s Bay and Wellington Land
Districts bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 85 in
the Ruahine Range, and proceeding thence in an easterly
direction along the northern boundary of the forest reserve
to the Oruakeretaki Stream, along the aforesaid stream to
its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 50,
Block I, Woodville Survey District ; then easterly along
the northern boundaries of Sections 50, 51, and 54, Block I
aforesaid, to a public road, across that road, and along the
northern boundary of Section 13 to its intersection with the
Oruakeretaki Stream ; then along that stream to its con-
fluence with the Manawatu River ; then southerly along
the right bank of that river to a point in line with the southern
boundary of Lot 2 on plan 3777, deposited in the office of the
District Land Registrar at Napier ; then easterly along that
boundary to its intersection with a public road forming the
south-eastern boundary of the Otawhao Block ; along the
western side of that road to and along the south-eastern
boundary of the aforesaid block to the most northerly corner
of Section 38, Block XIV, Tahoraite Survey District ; then
