WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolved on the 16th day of December, 1926, as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000), to be known as the Wellington City Unemployment Loan, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment—namely, street construction on Alexandra Road, Hornsey Road, and other streets—the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventieth of a penny (1/70d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, from the 31st day of March, 1927, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

Loan of £3,000.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling it, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Rotorua Borough Improvements Supplementary Loan of £3,000, 1926, being 10 per cent. additional to the Rotorua Borough Improvements Loan of £30,000, 1924, authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes—

(a) The sum of £16,900 for improvements to Tutanekai, Fenton, Amohau, Ranolf, Pererika, Eruera, Hinemoa, Pukuatua, Amohia, and Sophia Streets and Malfroy Road :

(b) The sum of £3,800 for the purchase of necessary plant :

(c) The sum of £2,000 for footpath improvements :

(d) The sum of £2,000 for stormwater drainage :
