The Town of Rapahoe is a recent subdivision situated on the seacoast in the locality known as Point Elizabeth, and adjacent to the State Coal-mine, and is distant about seven miles from Greymouth and two miles from Runanga, by a good metalled road.
The locality is popular as a seaside resort, and the sections offer ideal sites on which to erect seaside and week-end cottages or permanent homes.
A few of the sections are still covered with light bush, and some are peaty and wet, but these in most cases can be easily drained. The majority of the sections, however, comprise firm, dry, ground, suitable for immediate utilization as building-sites.
