ERRATUM.—In the notification appointing persons as officers in the office of the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 8, of the 11th February, 1926, page 391, for “Grace Isabella Cullum, 18th June, 1823,” read “Grace Isabella Cullum, 18th June, 1923.”

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block V, Pakiri Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 acres 0 roods 16 perches.
Being portion of Section 9, situated in Block V, Pakiri Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 23063.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65222, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of February, 1926.

Proclaiming Native Land to be vested in His Majesty under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor-General may, by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly and shall become Crown land:
And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the South Island District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:
And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board has adopted such resolution:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land set out in the Schedule hereto is vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE.

Rangitoto 8B 4 Block, D’Urville Survey District: Approximate area, 577 acres 2 roods 20 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of February, 1926.
