the Kahutara River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of river and lake protection, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths (⅝ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Kahutara River District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SPECIAL RATE RESOLUTION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Kahutara River Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kahutara River Board Special-rating Area Loan of £4,000, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Kahutara River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting stop-banks for lake protection, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one half-penny (1½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Stop Bank No. 2 Special-rating District, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Te Iringa No. 1a, Block XIV, Wairarapa Survey District, and proceeding in a westerly direction along the right or northern bank of the Ruamahunga River to a road intersecting Mapuna-Atea Native Reserve; thence along the eastern side of that road to the south-eastern corner of Otaupuaroaro No. 1 Block, and along the south-eastern boundary of that block for a distance of 40 chains; thence along a right line bearing 313°, distance 62 chains, to the western boundary of Otaupuaroaro No. B 4 Block, and along the north-western boundary of that block to and along the southern boundaries of Sections 38 and 17 for a distance of 42 chains; thence north-easterly along a line right bearing 35°, distance 88 chains, to the north-eastern corner of Section 44, Block XIII; thence due east along a right line for a distance of 33 chains, and north-easterly along a right line bearing 57°, distance 40 chains, to a point on the eastern side of a road intersecting Section 17, Block XIV, Wairarapa Survey District; thence north-easterly along the eastern side of that road to the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 17, and along that boundary, the northern boundary of Section 38, and the western boundaries of Sections 39 and 19, to the Opoura Stream; thence along that stream to the western boundary of Section 7, Block XV; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern side of Judd’s Road, thence south-easterly along that road to its junction with the Kahutara Road; thence in a south-westerly direction along the Kahutara Road to the north-western corner of Section 12, Block XV, Wairarapa Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of the said section to the northern corner of Section 14, Block XV; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 12, 13, and again 12 and 15, Blocks XV and XIV, Wairarapa Survey District, to the western corner of Section 41; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of Section 40 to the eastern corner of the said Section 40; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 40 to the northern corner of Te Iringa No. 1a; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of the said Te Iringa No. 1a to the point of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £330 (being 10 per cent. of an original loan of £3,320) authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reforming, culverting, and metalling about 10 miles of the Ahoroa Road, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Ahoroa Special-rating Area, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 14th December, 1916, page 3025, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
