Appointing Clerk to Transport Appeal Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by Regulation 33 of the Motor-omnibus (Licensing) Regulations, 1926, I, Kenneth Stuart Williams, Minister of Public Works, do hereby revoke the appointment of

Arthur Evan Dobbie

as Clerk to the Transport Appeal Board of No. 12 Motor-omnibus District, and do hereby appoint (with the approval of the Public Service Commissioner),

Duncan Cecil Ernest Webster,

of Dunedin, as Clerk of the said Transport Appeal Board.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Cecil Augustine Carmine, of the Public Trust Office, Greymouth,

to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Greymouth, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters, and all previous appointments in this behalf are hereby revoked.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of officers of the N.Z. Military Forces :—

STAFF.

Major P. B. Henderson, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Officer in Charge, Trentham Camp. Dated 1st November, 1926.

Captain H. H. Whyte, M.C., N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Ordnance Officer, Ordnance Depot, Trentham, is appointed Officer in Charge, Trentham Camp, vice Major P. B. Henderson, M.C., N.Z.S.C., and retains the appointment of Ordnance Officer, Central Command. Dated 2nd November, 1926.

5TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (OTAGO HUSSARS).

Lieutenant D. A. Solomon, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b) R.D. 11. Dated 25th November, 1926.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).

Lieutenant E. G. Jones, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b) R.D. 1. Dated 24th November, 1926.

2nd Lieutenant (on probation) W. E. La Roche, from the Southland Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) with seniority as from the 11th June, 1926, and is seconded for duty with the 1st C. Battalion. Dated 23rd November, 1926.

Francis Mathew Price, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is seconded for duty with the 1st C Battalion. Dated 8th November, 1926.

The North Auckland Regiment.

Henry Frank Chandler, to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion. Dated 4th November, 1926.

The Wellington Regiment.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) H. A. Heron, 1st C Battalion, lapses. Dated 24th November, 1926.

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment.

Captain J. H. Irving, M.C., 1st Battalion, to be Major. Dated 2nd March, 1926.

The Canterbury Regiment.

Lieutenant J. M. King, 1st Battalion, is seconded for duty with the 2nd C. Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 26th November, 1926.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Lieutenant R. G. Phillips-Turner, M.B., is transferred from the Central Depot, N.Z.M.C., to the Northern Depot, N.Z.M.C., with seniority as from the 3rd February, 1926.
