SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
(Exempt from Rent for Four Years.)
Waitomo County.—Mokau Survey District.
SECTION 1, Block 1: Area, 600 acres; capital value, £1,310; half-yearly rent, £26 4s.
Situated on the Wairoma Road about seven miles from Aria, and reached via the Totoro Road for about six miles and then about one mile along the Wairoma Road. Section comprises about 50 acres of rich river flats, very suitable for dairying. There are other flats upon the property aggregating about another 50 acres, but these are scattered. Balance area comprises easy hills of which about 100 acres has been felled and grassed. There is a considerable amount of blackberry and gorse on the flats and some isolated patches on the felled portion of the hill country. The section is well watered and the soil is of first-class quality. The capital value of the section includes valuation for four-roomed dwelling, 2 sheds, and 100 chains of fencing.
Special Condition.
In addition to the ordinary improvement requirements, the lessee will be required to expend a sum each year equal to the amount of rent remitted, in the general improvement of the section, by way of manuring, upkeep of improvements, &c.

Notifying Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Wairoa County.—Town of Clyde.
SECTIONS 483 and 627: Area, 2 roods 0·56 perches. Upset price, £90.
These sections are situated half a mile from Wairoa Post-office. Access by Apatu Road. Good level sections, with a slight fall to the Wairoa River, which allows for ample drainage of storm water. Soil is good. Fenced on all sides by a good post and wire fence, except on the side adjoining Sections 628 and 482, that side being unfenced.

Vesting the Control of Scenic Reserves in the Raetihi Borough Council.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserves described in the Schedule hereto (being lands reserved under the said Act) in the Raetihi Borough Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—
- The period for which the control of the reserves is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
- The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
- The said Council shall control the said reserves in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—RAETIHI SCENIC RESERVES.
SECTION 38, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District: Area, 7 acres 2 roods.
Section 49, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District: Area, 9 acres 2 roods 23 perches.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of December, 1926.

Vesting a Secondary School Endowment in the Rotorua High School Board.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection three of section twelve of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1926, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby vest the land described in the Schedule hereto in the Rotorua High School Board in trust, as an endowment for the Rotorua High School, but subject to any leases now in existence in respect of the said land.
SCHEDULE:
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, having a total area of 16 acres and 18 perches, more or less, and being Blocks XLIII, XLIV, XLV, XLVI, and XLVII, Town of Rotorua.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, appointed
Thomas Banks, of Hautu Prison Camp, and
Archibald Banks, of Rangipo Prison Camp,
to be officers for the purposes of Part II of that Act, for the area defined in the First Schedule to the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1926.
