THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Green Island Borough Council on the fifth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz :—
“That the Green Island Borough Council declares that the
provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the
Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to those portions
of Harraway’s Road situated in Block V, Lower Kaikorai
District, and adjoining parts of Sections 74, 75, and 355R
of the said district, in the Borough of Green Island, as the
same are more particularly shown in the plans attached
hereto and edged red ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western
side of the portion of Harraway’s Road (described in the
Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the
Otago Land District, Borough of Green Island, known as
Harraway’s Road, abutting on parts Sections 74, 75, and
355R, Block V, Lower Kaikorai District. As the said portion
of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 67723, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon coloured brown.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of Tay Street, in the City of
Wanganui, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of
the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the
Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of
December, 1926.

COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Wanganui City Council on the nineteenth day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, so
far as it affects the portion of street described in the Schedule
hereto, viz. :—
“That the Wanganui City Council, having control of
the street named Tay Street, hereby resolves that section
one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public
Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the
said street fronting part Section 38, Suburban Block 14, a
distance of 167·9 links ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-
eastern side of the portion of Tay Street (described in the
Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street in the
Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, known as Tay
Street, adjoining part Lot 38, Deeds Plan 49, Suburban
Section 14, Town of Wanganui. As the said portion of
street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 67657, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon coloured red.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day
of December, 1926.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-two of the
Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that for the
purpose of enabling any scheme of consolidation of the
interests of owners of Native land into suitable areas to be
prepared and carried into effect the Governor-General may,
by Order in Council, prohibit for a period not exceeding
twelve months any alienation of Native land in respect of
which application has been made by the Native Minister to
the Court for the preparation of such a scheme :
And whereas an application has been made by the Native
Minister to the Native Land Court for the preparation of a
scheme of consolidation of the interests of the owners of the
blocks mentioned in the Schedule hereto into suitable areas :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit for a period of
twelve months all alienation of the Native land specified in
the Schedule hereto.
