Additional Land at Whangarei taken for the Purpose of the Whangarei–Kamo Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Whangarei–Kamo Railway to take further land at Whangarei, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 4 perches. Portion of Duke Street, Borough of Whangarei.

Situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District. (S.O. 23829, blue.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39001, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of December, 1926.

Partially revoking a Proclamation altering the Middle-line of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Proclamation defining the middle-line of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway was in part altered by a Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 53, of the thirtieth day of the same month, page 2157, and registered in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington as number 1539:

And whereas the lands required in connection with the said railway have been taken for railway purposes by a Proclamation duly gazetted and deposited in the office of the said District Land Registrar as number 1589:

And whereas it is found expedient to revoke so much of the aforesaid Proclamation 1539 in so far as it relates to all lands not so taken for railway purposes as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the aforesaid Proclamation 1539 as relates to all lands not taken for railway purposes by the aforesaid Proclamation 1589.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of December, 1926.
