The following are the regulations referred to :-
CHEVIOT TROTTING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Cheviot Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”) doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Cheviot Racecourse, situated in the district of Cheviot, and known as the Cheviot Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :-
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
(d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tippers, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee appointed by the New Zealand Trotting Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Cheviot Trotting Club were made and passed by such club on the 15th day of November, 1926, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned WILLIAM INGLIS WARD and GUY ROLFE HOGGARD, under the style of “Ward and Hoggard,” at Lower Hutt, in the business of farmers and graziers, has been dissolved as from the 30th day of April, 1926. The debts owing from or to the firm will be discharged or received by the said WILLIAM INGLIS WARD, who will continue to carry on the business at Lower Hutt aforesaid on his own account.

NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book of the company the following resolution was carried :-
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and that FREDERICK CHARLES BUDDLE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership subsisting between PETER THEODOR BURGESS and MICHAEL CHRISTIAN BURGESS, and carried on at Ongarue as Farmers under the style or firm name of “Burgess Brothers,” was dissolved as from the 31st day of March, 1923.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of shareholders of CRADDOCKS AGENCY COMPANY (LIMITED), in liquidation, will be held at the above address on Tuesday, the 21st day of December, 1926, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., for the purpose of having laid before the meeting an account of the Liquidators, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing an explanation thereof given by the Liquidators.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.— The subscription is at the rate of £4 per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for. Single copies of the Gazette as follows :-
Ordinary Weekly Gazette : For the first 32 pages, 9d. increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes : For the first 8 pages, 6d. : over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d. ; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
ROLL OF HONOUR just published by the DEFENCE DEPARTMENT, giving—
(1.) A list of members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, or accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2.) Those who died after discharge from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service.
(3.) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces in New Zealand
Price, 5s. ; postage, 8d. extra.
