OPUNAKE HARBOUR BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Opunake Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Opunake Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act, for completion of harbour-works, the said Opunake Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Opunake Harbour District situated within the Opunake Town District, and one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all property of the Opunake Harbour District, situated within the Egmont and Waimate West Counties, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Devonport Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the establishment and formation of a public reserve, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Council, situate at Marine Square, Devonport, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the said Council at the said office.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the advertisement in the Gazette, dated 17th December, 1925, the statutory meeting of the shareholders of ARMOUR AND COMPANY, in accordance with the Companies Act of 1908 and the amendment in 1910, was held on the 29th November, 1926, and the company was deemed to be dissolved.

GREYTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Greytown Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Greytown Borough Workers’ Dwellings Loan of £1,350, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Greytown Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of converting the “Old Institute Building” into two workers’ dwellings, the said Greytown Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds (5/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Greytown; and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
