Reserve 4161, situated in Block IV, Orari Survey District,
and bounded as follows : Towards the north-east by the Peel
Forest Road, 859·6 links ; towards the south and west by a
public road, 271 and 823 links respectively ; and again
towards the north by a public road, 59·6 links. As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
1/267, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 4th day of December, 1926.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block X, Town of
Hastings, Auckland Land District.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart as a post-office site, being
a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule of the
Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that such land should be
appropriated for a site for a public school, being a purpose
within Class III of the said Second Schedule :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exer-
cise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the
eleventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, do by this notification declare that the said land shall,
from and after the twenty-second day of December, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-six, be appropriated for
a site for a public school under Class III of the Public
Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 ; and I do hereby direct
that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette.

library and mechanics’ institute, being a purpose within
Class I of the Second Schedule of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that such land should be
appropriated for recreation purposes, being a purpose within
Class III of the said Second Schedule :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the
eleventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, do by this notification declare that the said land
shall, from and after the twenty-second day of December, one

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public
Auction.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Wednesday, the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the lands
described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction ; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
TOWN LAND.
Waimarino County.—Manganui Survey District.—Town of
Horopito West.
SECTION 16, Block X : Area, 4 acres 1 rood 10 perches ;
upset price, £20.
This section is situated in the Horopito Township, about
half a mile from the railway-station. The whole area is level,
in native grasses and tussock, with patches of second growth
and a few scattered trees. The soil is of pumice resting on
grit formation.
Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.—Town of
Owhango.
Section 1, Block I : Area, 1 rood ; upset price, £20.
Weighted with £200, valuation for improvements, consist-
ing of a billiard-room (£175) and fencing (£5), to be paid in
cash.
Situated in the Owhango Township on the Waimarino-
Taumarunui Road, about one mile from the railway-station.
SUBURBAN LAND.
Pahiatua County.—Makuri Survey District—Suburbs of
Makuri.
Sections 136, 137, 138, and 139 : Area, 3 acres 1 rood
29 perches ; upset price, £60.
Weighted with £20, valuation for 20 chains of fencing, to be
paid in cash.
These sections are situated in the Town of Makuri, between
Titoki Street and the main road to Pahiatua, and also adjoin
the Makuri School. The land is all in grass and is of first-
class quality.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Rangiora County.—Rangiora Survey District.
RESERVE 4055, Block XII : Area, 86 acres 2 roods 12·2 perches ;
upset price, £220.
Weighted with £25, valuation for a small plantation on the
property made up of approximately sixty large pine-trees,
besides scattered young pines and poplars, demonstrating
suitability for tree-growing.
Situated five miles and a half from Rangiora Railway-
station, and one mile and a half from Woodend School ; access
by formed and partly metalled road. There is no water on
property, but this can be obtained by sinking. The land is
warm, dry, and well sheltered, and offers good feeding-ground
for cattle in winter.

General, this 1st day of December, 1926.
