Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of a Road in Block XVI, Mata Survey District, Waiapu County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of a road, and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart :
1 rood 34 perches.
Being Lot 2 of Section 136, Te Puia Suburban, situated in Block XVI, Mata Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1278, brown.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of Napier described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Prison proclaimed.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any time later specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, and all buildings and enclosures used or occupied thereon, shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison known as the Hautu Prison, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement approximately 10,000 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Hautu 4B 2B No. 1 Block; thence along the western and southern boundaries of that block to the public road, forming its north-eastern boundary; thence along the north-western, western, and southern boundaries of the land described in New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 631, to the Waiotaka River; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Hautu 1B 1B 2B No. 5 Block; thence south-easterly along the western boundary of Hautu 1B 1B 2A Block to the northernmost corner of Hautu 2B 1B 2 Block; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Hautu 2B 1B 2 and 2B 1B 1 Blocks to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along a line bearing 262° to the north-eastern boundary of Hautu 4B 2B 2B Block; thence along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of the aforesaid Hautu 4B 2B 2B Block to the Waikato (Tongariro) River; thence down that river to the road forming the north-western boundary of Hautu 4B 2B 1 Block; thence north-easterly along that road to the north-western corner of the aforesaid Hautu 4B 2B No. 1 Block, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of November, 1926.
