that I intend applying on the 5th March, 1926, to have my
name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New
Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my
qualification in the office of the Department of Health at

above-named company was passed at a meeting of
the company held on the 20th day of January, 1926, that the

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on the Christ-
church City Workers' Dwellings Loan of £15,000, 1926,
authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting
workers' dwellings and the construction of works necessary
and incidental thereto, or to advance money to a worker to
enable him to erect a worker's dwelling on any land of which
he is the owner, or to acquire land to erect a worker's dwell-
ing thereon, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of thirty-nine twelve-hundred-and-
fiftieths (39/1250ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on
the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the lst day of March in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

EYRE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Re LOAN OF £190 FOR COMPLETION OF PAYMENTS FOR
ERECTIO N OF WORKERS' DWELLINGS. - RESOLUTION
MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of and in exercise of the powers vested in
it on that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
the Eyre County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £190, authorized to be raised by the
Eyre County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
erecting workers' dwellings in the county, the Eyre County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one four-
hundredth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of
all the rateable property comprising the whole of the County
of Eyre; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of
October in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO
CLOSE A ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public
Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiapu County Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts to execute a certain public work-namely, altering the
course of a road; and for the purpose of such public work the
lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and, further, that it is proposed to close the portions
of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required
to be taken and closed is deposited in the public office of the
Clerk to the said Council at Waipiro Bay and is open for
inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking and closing of such lands, who have any
well-founded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking or closing of the said lands, must state
their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty
days from the first publication of the said notice, to the County
Clerk at the Council Chambers, Waipiro Bay.
