Vesting a Reserve in the Waverley Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1926.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a site for a war memorial: And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Waverley Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Waverley Town Board, in trust, for a site for a war memorial.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 8·4 perches, more or less, being part of Section 144, Township of Waverley, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the Wereroa Road, 117 links distant from the junction of the said road with Chester Street: thence by right lines towards the east, north, and west by other part of Section 144, for distances of 125 links, 42 links, and 125 links respectively; and towards the south by the aforesaid Weraroa Road, for a distance of 42 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked 247/44, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon edged blue.

Vesting the Control of Portion of a Reserve in the Oxford County Council.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for forest and climatic purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said portion should be vested in the Oxford County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby vest the control of the said portion in the Oxford County Council.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing approximately 3,544 acres, being part of Reserve No. 3739, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Upper Ashley Survey District, and II and III, Oxford Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north and west generally by Reserve No. 3547 and Small Grazing-runs numbered 36847 and 36848; towards the south-east generally by Pastoral Run 225, the other part of said Reserve 3739, and by Rural Sections 35399, 35005, 34773, and 22398; towards the south-west generally by a public road. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 37915, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting the Control of a Quarry Reserve in the Whangamarino Road Board.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for quarry purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Whangamarino Road Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Whangamarino Road Board.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 70, Parish of Maramarua, Block VI, Piako Survey District: Area, 10 acres.

License authorizing Arthur Beban to erect Electric Lines across Tainui Street in the Borough of Greymouth.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act, and dated the ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor (and hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”), and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein—hereby authorize Arthur Beban, of Greymouth, Picture-theatre Manager (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to erect and maintain an electric line for lighting, power, and heating purposes along the route described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. ROUTE OF ELECTRIC LINE.

ALL that route in the Westland Land District, Borough of Greymouth, commencing at the premises of the licensee situated in Tainui Street, known as the Opera House, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction across Tainui Street to the premises of the Dispatch Foundry Company (Limited) situated at the corner of Tainui Street and Chapel Street. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64325, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown by means of white lines.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) (1) of clause 2 of the regulations. The generating voltage shall be approximately 110 volts between the terminals.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force for a period of two years from the date hereof; provided that should the Grey Electric-power Board commence to supply electrical energy in the said borough, the licensee
