FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Feilding Borough Waterworks Extensions Supplementary Loan of £1,850, 1926, being 10 per cent. additional to a loan of £18,500 authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes: To improve, extend, and safeguard the borough waterworks, including the intake, pipe-line, reservoirs, &c., and to make all alterations, additions, and extensions to the existing waterworks as may be necessary to effectively carry out the same (such latter amount being insufficient to complete the works for which such loan was raised), the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen two-hundred-and-fifty-sixths (19/256ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Feilding ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £900 authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling for the first time 70 chains of Allen’s Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and three-eighths of a penny (2⅜d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Allen’s Road Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland, being bounded as follows :—

Commencing at a point in Section 12 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu, Block III, Maungakawa S.D., being 11 chains north from a point on the Auckland-Thames Railway, about 10 chains east of the Piako Railway-station ; thence in a north-westerly direction through the centre of Sections 12 and 10 to the south-west corner of Lot 4 on D.P. 16036, subdivision of Maungatapu Block ; thence in a north-westerly direction following the western boundary of Lots 4 and 5 on D.P. 16036 aforesaid to the north-east corner of Lot 15 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu ; thence in a westerly direction following the southern boundary of Lot 5 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu, for a distance of about 15 chains ; thence in a north-westerly direction through the centre of Lot 5 to its northern boundary ; thence in an easterly direction following the northern boundary of Lots 5 and 6 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu, to the Waiharakeke Stream ; thence in a south-easterly direction following the course of the Waiharakeke Stream, being the eastern boundaries of Lot 6 on D.P. and Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 16036 to the north-east corner of Lot 3 on D.P. 16036, Mangatapu ; thence following the eastern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 16036 and Lot 13 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu, to the railway-line ; thence in a westerly direction by a straight line through Lots 13 and 12 on D.P. 13350, Mangatapu, to the point of commencement.

And that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing additional funds for works, buildings, land, and equipment necessary in connection with the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy within the Wairarapa Electric-power District, the said Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/32nds of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property situated in the Ponatahi Special-rating Area, comprising all that land in the Wairarapa South and Featherston Counties bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern bank of the Ruamahanga River at the north-east corner of Lot 1 of D.P. 3469, Block III, Huangarua Survey District, and following in a southerly direction generally the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and the eastern boundaries of Lots 5 and 6 of D.P. 3469, Block III, Huangarua S.D., to the northern boundary of Lot 7 of D.P. 3469 ; thence following in an easterly direction the northern boundary of the said Lot 7 to the north-east corner thereof, and in a southerly direction the eastern boundary of the said Lot 7 and of Lots 1 and 2 of A, plan 2052, Sections 61, 63, 65, 67, Block VII, Huangarua S.D., the eastern boundary of the blocks of land comprised in D.P. 3509, 4417, in Block X, Huangarua S.D., and the eastern and southern boundaries of the block of land comprised in D.P. 3913 to where the latter meets the eastern bank of the Wangaehu River ; thence following this river in a north-westerly direction to where it joins the Ruamahanga River, and following the Ruamahanga River in a northerly direction to the starting-point : and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
