following the coast-line to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate,
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of January in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, at the rate
of interest of six pounds per centum per annum, together
with an additional yearly payment to provide the necessary
sinking fund, or until the loan is fully paid off.

matter of MOUNT ROYAL (LIMITED), a private company
with limited liability duly registered under the pro-
visions of the said Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 5th day of November,
1926, the following resolution was carried:—
"That Mount Royal (Limited), a private company with
limited liability duly incorporated under the provisions of
the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at the
A.M.P. Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, be wound up
voluntarily, and that Mr. J. McD. Coleman, of Auckland,
Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator
for the purposes of such winding-up."

GREY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Grey Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds
(£50,000) authorized to be raised by the Grey Electric-power
Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase and
construction of electric works, as defined by the Electric-
power Boards Act, 1925, for the supply of electricity within
the Grey Electric-power District the Grey Electric-power
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fifths
of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the
basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Grey
Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

matter of McMEEKIN AND COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above company, held at Timaru on the
16th November, 1926, the following extraordinary resolutions
were passed:—

  1. “Owing to the company’s present financial position
    and it being unable to meet its liabilities, that the company
    go into voluntary liquidation, and that a Liquidator or Liqui-
    dators be appointed forthwith to wind up the affairs of the
    company.”
  2. “That Mr. G. Johnson, Public Accountant, Timaru,
    be appointed Liquidator.”

I, FREDERICK BASIL VIVIAN ROCKLAND, of
Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in
the Dominion of New Zealand, Electrical Engineer, hereto-
fore called and known by the name of “Frederick Basil
Vivian Cogar,” hereby give public notice that I, on the
twenty-third day of November, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-six, formally and absolutely renounced, relin-
quished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of
“Cogar,” and assumed, adopted, and determined thenceforth
and on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name
of “Rockland” instead of the said name of “Cogar”;
and I further give notice that by deed poll dated the twenty-
third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-six, duly executed, attested, and enrolled in the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, on the twenty-sixth day
of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six,
I formally and absolutely renounced the said surname of
“Cogar,” and declared that I had assumed, adopted, and in-
tended thenceforth and on all occasions whatsoever to use
and subscribe the name of “Rockland” instead of the name
of “Cogar,” and so to be at all times thereafter called, known,
and described by the name of “Rockland” exclusively.

Dated this 26th day of November, 1926.

NOTICE is hereby given that ELECTROLUX LIMITED,
a foreign company carrying on business in New
Zealand, intends, at the expiration of three months from
the date of this notice to cease carrying on business in New
Zealand. This notice is published pursuant to section 307
of the Companies Act, 1908.

RESOLUTION.
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a consolidated loan of £300,000 (authorized by
the Auckland City and Auckland Museum Empowering Act,
1924), comprising a loan of £200,000, being the first issue of a
loan of £400,000 authorized to be raised by the Auckland
City Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for
the development, extension, and improvement of the water-
works of the City of Auckland, and the acquisition of real
and personal property therefor, and also a loan of £100,000
authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under
the above-mentioned Act and the Local Authorities Em-
powering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, for the
reconstruction and renewal of tram-tracks controlled by the
Auckland City Council, the Auckland City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of fourpence three-farthings
(4¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable
property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of June in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

MAKERUA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING RATE re £1,500 LOAN.
——

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers
(if any) it thereunto enabling, the Makerua Drainage Board
hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Makerua
Drainage Board Loan of £1,500, 1926, authorized to be raised
by the Makerua Drainage Board under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of completing the erecting of river-
protection works on the banks of the Manawatu and Toko-
maru Rivers and adjacent thereto, and for the purchase of
land upon which any such works may have already been
erected or may hereafter be erected, and for the construction
of drains in the Board’s district, and for the purchase of
necessary machinery, plant, and land, the said Board makes
and levies the special differential rates on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable pro-
perty in the Makerua Drainage District: On lands classified
