Meetings of Canterbury Land Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that His Excellency the Governor-General has in pursuance of section 54 of the Land Act, 1924, approved of meetings of the Canterbury Land Board being held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 19th January, 16th February, 16th March, 20th April, 18th May, 15th June, 20th July, 17th August, 21st September, 19th October, 16th November, and 14th December, during the year 1927.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block V, Mapara Survey District, Waitomo County, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block V, Mapara Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kopaki, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 4·3 perches.
Being portion of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68G No. 2D No. 2, Block V, Mapara Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66768, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

THE following special order passed by the Mauriceville County Council at a special meeting held on 11th September, 1926, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on 9th October, 1926, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, and the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1923, the Mauriceville County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the First Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) are not noxious weeds within the County of Mauriceville; and that the plants mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the Third Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) are noxious weeds within the said county; and also that all previous resolutions passed by the said Council declaring any plants whatsoever to be noxious weeds shall be and the same are hereby revoked.
