borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:

And whereas the Woodville County Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of five thousand pounds for the purpose of constructing and tar-sealing main roads, and is now desirous of raising the sum of two thousand pounds, being a portion of the loan of five thousand pounds:

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section one hundred and fourteen, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per centum per annum:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Woodville County Council in respect of the said sum of two thousand pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Woodville County Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of two thousand pounds accordingly.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1926.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for an agricultural and pastoral show-ground: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Mangonui County Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incorporated):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mangonui County Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incorporated), in trust, for an agricultural and pastoral show-ground.

Notifying Lands in North Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

Hokianga County._Town of Kohukohu Extension. SECTION 7 : Area, 7-83 perches ; upset price, £250. ,, 8 ,, 7-83 ,, £250. Sections are situated facing Beach Road in the Town of Kohukohu. Level land, having been recently reclaimed. Suitable for building purposes.

Hokianga County._Town of Rawene. Sections 94 and 95 : Area, 2 roods 1-6 perches; upset price, £150. Sections are situated fronting Parnell Street, in the Township of Rawene, about a quarter mile from the wharf and post-office, and 200 yards from school. Land is practically flat and above the level of the road. As the sections command a splendid view, both up and down the Hokianga River, they should make first-class residential sites. Improvements consist of about 6+ chains of fencing.

Franklin County._Waipipi Parish. Section 422 : Area, 4 acres 1 rood; upset price, £67 10s. Weighted with £285, valuation for improvements, consisting of four-roomed dwelling and 35 chains of boundary and subdivisional fencing. Situated three miles and a half from Waiuku. Undulating to steep and broken country, in good pasture. Section is boundary-fenced and divided into two paddocks. Special Condition._The Crown will not accept any liability for the construction of the roads.

VILLAGE LAND. Whangarei County._Pakotai Village. A. R. P. Section 2 : Area, 5 1 25; upset price, £25. ,, 4 ,, 0 1 8 ,, £12. ,, 5 ,, 0 1 8 ,, £12. ,, 6 ,, 0 1 8 ,, £12. Situated within a few minutes' walk of both post-office and school in Pakotai, which is about thirty-one miles distant from Whangarei by formed road. Land is level to undulating in fern and tea-tree scrub. Soil is clay and broken loam. Sections suitable for residential purposes. Altitude, 400 ft. above sea-level.
