LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.
NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land herein-after described will be brought under the provisions of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before 29th November, 1926 :—

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at 169 Hereford Street, Christchurch, in the 23rd day of October, 1926, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily ; and that Mr. ERNEST JAMES AUSTIN, of Christchurch, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing its assets.”

OPUNAKE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Opunake Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Opunake Town Board Street-improvement Loan of £3,350, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Opunake Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling and tar-sealing Layard Street from the South Road to Whitcombe Road, Napier Street from Domett Street to Gisborne Terrace, Havelock Street from Bowen Crescent to the South Road, Gisborne Terrace from Napier Street to Station Gate, to construct culvert and make road at intersection of Havelock Street and Gisborne Terrace, and to acquire tar sprayer and boiler and fittings, and to metal and tar-seal the South Road between the Otahi and Waiaua Rivers, and the said Opunake Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and ninety-three four-hundredths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Opunake Town District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
