Result of Poll.—Theatre Loan Proposal.
PSRUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Matamata Town District taken on the 15th day of September,
1926, on the proposal of the Matamata Town Board to borrow
the sum of £8,000 for the purpose of erecting a municipal
theatre, &c.,—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 126;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 119;
informal, 6.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Council of the County of Stewart Island, is published
in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926.

STEWARD ISLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
PUSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act’,
1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
County of Stewart Island was taken on Friday, the 1st day of
October, 1926, to determine the proposal to borrow the sum
of £400 for a water-supply for Half Moon Bay.
The total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the
proposal was 19, and the total number of valid votes recorded
against the proposal was 30.
I therefore declare the said proposal to be rejected.

Borough of St. Kilda, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

In the matter of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925,
and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Acts
amending the same respectively (if any).
I HEREBY give notice that on the 23rd day of September,
1926, a proposal was submitted by the St. Kilda Borough
Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of St. Kilda for
raising a special loan of £25,000 having a currency of ten years
from date of debentures to be issued by the Council in connection
with the said loan for the particular purpose of street-
improvements.
The number of votes recorded respectively for and against
the proposal was as follows : for the proposal, 365; against
the proposal, 209; informal, 1.
I declare the said proposal to be carried.
