General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of
October, 1926.

Additional Regulation for Government of Arawa District Trust
Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day
of October, 1926.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by section twenty-seven of the Native Land Amendment
and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1922, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regula-
tion additional to those made with respect to the Arawa
District Trust Board on the eighth day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-three:—

  1. (a.) For his attendance at all regular or special meet-
    ings of the Board to which he shall be duly summoned each
    member of the Board shall be entitled to be paid the sum of
    one pound for each day or part of a day on which he shall take
    part in any such meeting.

(b.) Each member who resides not less than three miles
from the place of meeting shall be entitled to a refund of the
reasonable expense of transport to and from the place of meet-
ing by public conveyance. If no such public conveyance is
available then the reasonable actual cost of other transport
may be allowed. In cases where the cost would be less than
by public conveyance a member may be allowed at the rate
of eightpence per mile of the distance measured each way for
the use of his own horse, car, or other vehicle.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Borough of Ashburton,
Canterbury Land District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section sixty-one of the Reserves
and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering
Act, 1916, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby change the purpose of the reserve described in the
Schedule hereto from a reserve for plantation purposes to a
municipal endowment.

or less.

Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for
the purposes of a public school.

Declaring a Portion of a Main Highway in No. 2 Highway
District, Waikato County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of
September, 1926.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
declare that on and after the date of gazetting of this Order
in Council the main highway mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall become a Government Road.

SCHEDULE.

GREAT South Highway: All that portion of the Great South
Highway, commencing at its junction with the Ohinewai
Station Road opposite Section 42, Block VII, Rangiriri
Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly
direction through Blocks VII, VIII, XII, XI, XV, and XVI,
Rangiriri Survey District, Blocks IV and VII, Newcastle
Survey District, and terminating at the northern boundary
of the Borough of Ngaruawahia, passing through the Town-
ship of Taupiri, but excluding that portion in the Huntly
Town District; being a distance of 9 miles 58 chains, more
or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked M.H. 49, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured blue and marked J–K.
