lessee, I hereby give notice that I will register such re-entry
as requested at the expiration of one month from the date
of the Gazette containing this notice.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Wai-
temata County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for defraying
the cost of a water-supply and races and reticulation in con-
nection therewith at Motutara, and over the Motutara Water-
supply District constituted on the 1st March, 1926, by special
order of the Waitemata County Council passed at a special
meeting held on 28th January, 1926, and confirmed on the
26th day of February, 1926, the said Waitemata County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence
half-penny (3½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property of the Motutara Water-supply District,
comprising the properties defined in the Schedule hereto ;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the County of
Waitemata and in the Kumeu Survey District, and being Lots
1 to 25 inclusive; 34 to 45 inclusive; 65 to 69 inclusive; 72,
75 to 89 inclusive, of part of Allotment 37, Taupaki West
Block, all as shown on plan deposited in the Auckland Deeds
Registry Office and numbered 9548.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

NORTH LINWOOD CHANNELLING RENEWAL LOAN OF £5,745.—
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Christ-
church City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £5,745, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of paying off the balance of a loan not provided for by a
sinking fund, which was raised by the Heathcote County
Council on the 1st day of November, 1906, and which falls
due on the 31st day of October, 1926, the said Christchurch
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny and one-hundred-and-twenty-eight six-hundred-and
twenty-fifths (1d. 128/625ths) of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property comprised within the North Linwood
Channelling Loan Special-rating Area; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty (30) years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

SMITH AND ANTHONY (LIMITED).

A T an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held
17th September, 1926, the following resolutions were
passed, and confirmed at a duly called meeting 2nd October,
1926 :—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That WILLIAM SIDNEY LOVELL-SMITH be appointed the
    Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
  3. That the Liquidator be directed to adopt and carry into
    effect an agreement dated the 9th day of September, 1926,
    between WILLIAM SIDNEY LOVELL-SMITH of the one part and
    COULLS, SOMERVILLE. WILKIE (LIMITED) of the other part
    purporting to sell the whole of the undertaking of the company
    to the said COULLS, SOMERVILLE, WILKIE (LIMITED) upon the
    terms and conditions contained in the said agreement.

NOTICE.

I, RAANA NOEL THORNE, heretofore called and known
by the name of “RAANA NOEL TAYLOR,” of Ashhurst,
in the Dominion of New Zealand, Student, hereby give public
notice that on the 4th day of October, 1926, I formally and
absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of
my said surname of “Taylor” and then assumed and adopted
and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to
use and subscribe the name of “Raana Noel Thorne,” instead
of the said name of “Raana Noel Taylor.”
And I further give notice that by a deed-poll dated the
4th day of October, 1926, duly executed and attested and
enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington
District, Palmerston North Registry, on the 5th day of October,
1926, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the
said surname of “Taylor,” and declared that I had assumed
and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions
whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Raana Noel
Thorne” instead of “Raana Noel Taylor,” and so as to be at
all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name
of “Raana Noel Thorne” exclusively.
