in connection with the first election of the Board of the Kuku
Drainage District; also to appoint Tuesday, the 14th day of
September, 1926, to be the day and the Council Chambers,
Levin, to be the place, for holding such election; also to appoint
Thursday, the 23rd day of September, 1926, at eleven o’clock
in the morning to be the day and the hour, and the said
Council Chambers, Levin, to be the place, for holding the
first meeting of the Board so elected.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and the rules
made thereunder, I, Richard Francis Bollard, being the
Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do
hereby appoint Monday, 13th September, 1926, to be the
date for holding the election of one member of each of the
Waihi and Te Aroha Fire Boards by the fire-insurance com-
panies concerned, such election being held to fill the extra-
ordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. Charles
Edgar Palmer.

I, WILLIAM DAVID ARMIT, Returning Officer for the
election of a member of the Taranaki Land Board, do
hereby notify, in accordance with section 37 of the Land Act,
1924, and the regulations thereunder, that the only person
nominated to fill the vacancy of the said Board was Charles
James Ryan, Esq., of Ohura. I do therefore hereby declare
that the said

is duly elected as a member of the Taranaki Land Board as
from the 25th day of July, 1926.
