(5.) Where two or more persons are carrying on business in partnership as producers, each of such persons shall be entitled to have his name placed on the roll and to exercise a separate vote.
(6.) A producer that is an institution, or an incorporated or registered company, or any association of persons, whether corporate or incorporate, other than a partnership firm, shall be entitled to vote by its representative accredited in such manner as the Returning Officer shall deem sufficient, and the name of such accredited representative shall be entered on the roll as a voter.
- NOMINATIONS.
(1.) No person shall be eligible for election as a producers' representative unless he has been nominated in writing by two or more producers whose names appear on the roll compiled under Regulation 3 hereof for the ward in respect of which he is so nominated, and unless by writing in the prescribed form or by letter or telegram to the Returning Officer he has accepted nomination.
(2.) Nominations of persons for election to fill vacancies on the Board occurring on the 31st day of August, 1926, shall be delivered to the Returning Officer not later than noon on the 6th day of September, 1926, and nominations of persons for election to fill vacancies on the Board occurring on the 30th day of June in any year thereafter shall be delivered to the Returning Officer not later than noon on the 20th day of May in such year.
(3.) No producer shall be entitled to nominate more than one candidate.
(4.) The form of nomination shall be in the form No. 1 in the Schedule hereto, or to the like effect.
(5.) Nothing in this regulation shall prevent the Returning Officer from accepting a nomination-paper made out in such form as, in his opinion, is sufficient to identify the candidate and his nominators.
(6.) If in respect of any ward only one person shall have been duly nominated for election, such person shall be deemed to have been duly elected, and shall be declared elected by the Returning Officer by notice in the Gazette.
- CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS.
(1.) If in respect of any ward more than one person shall have been duly nominated for election, a poll shall be taken, and the Returning Officer shall cause voting-papers to be printed in the form No. 2 in the Schedule hereto.
(2.) One voting-paper shall be forwarded to each producer whose name appears on the roll, together with an envelope addressed to the Returning Officer and bearing on its face the consecutive number appearing on the roll against the name of the voter to whom the voting-paper is forwarded.
(3.) It shall be sufficient delivery of a voting-paper to any producer if such voting-paper is sent by the Returning Officer by post addressed to such producer to the care of the export factory as a supplier to which his name appears on the roll.
(4.) No voting-paper shall be valid unless it is received by the Returning Officer in the envelope issued with such voting-paper as aforesaid.
(5.) Any poll to be taken in the year 1926 shall close at noon on the 22nd day of September, 1926, and any poll to be taken in any subsequent year shall close at noon on the 15th day of June in that year. No voting-paper shall be valid which is not received by the Returning Officer at or before noon on the day fixed for the closing of the poll.
(6.) No election shall be held invalid on the ground that the name of any person entitled to exercise a vote thereat is not placed on the roll, or is not placed on the roll with reference to the export factory to which he is a supplier, or that any person entitled to exercise a vote thereat has not received a voting-paper, or that any voting-paper which should have been received by the Returning Officer has not been so received, or that any person not entitled to exercise a vote thereat has had his name placed on the roll, or has received a voting-paper, or has exercised a vote, or that any vote has been counted with reference to an export factory to which the voter is not a supplier.
- RESULT OF ELECTIONS.
(1.) If, in the circumstances set out in subsection (4) of section 8 of the amending Act, two or more candidates have received an equal number of suppliers' votes, and the addition of one vote would entitle one of such candidates to be deemed to be elected, the Returning Officer shall give a casting vote.
(2.) The name of the candidate deemed to be elected pursuant to the provisions of section 8 of the amending Act shall be notified by the Returning Officer by notice in the Gazette.
(3.) The name of the elected candidate shall thereupon be submitted to the Governor-General for his appointment as a producers' representative on the Board.

Directions.
The voter shall leave uncancelled the name of the candidate for whom he desires to vote, and must strike out the name of each candidate not voted for.
Should a voter leave uncancelled more than one name then his voting-paper is invalid.
