First, To borrow the said sum of fourteen thousand four hundred pounds (£14,400) for the purpose of paying off the said loans.
Second, That the said sum of fourteen thousand four hundred pounds (£14,400) shall be repayable on the 10th day of January, 1931, or such earlier date as may be determined by the Council.
Third, That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of fourteen thousand four hundred pounds (£14,400) the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (being capital value) of all the rateable property in that area in the Waimairi County known as the Main Area Electric-lighting Loan Area as defined in a notice appearing in the Lyttelton Times newspaper on 22nd January, 1921, with the exception of those parts of that area which are now included in the City of Christchurch and the Borough of Riccarton; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and shall be payable on the 10th day of January in each year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT the resolution passed by the Matamata County Council on the twelfth day of September, 1924, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette, 1924, page 2270, making a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths (15/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Matamata Riding of the County of Matamata for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) be rescinded.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling, widening, and bituminous surfacing of portions of the following roads in the Matamata Riding, viz.: Hinuera-Matamata, Matamata-Waharoa, Waharoa-Waitoa, Waharoa-Turanga-o-Moana, Matamata-Turanga-o-Moana, Hot Springs Corner-Okaia, Matamata-Te Poi and Manga-whero Road, the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to one (1) penny and one-hundredth (1/100th) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of twenty-nine thirty-seconds (29/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 14th day of December, 1923, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette, 1924, at page 107, on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Matamata Riding of the County of Matamata, such rate of twenty-nine thirty-seconds (29/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership business of Pastrycooks as heretofore carried on by us, the undersigned AMOS JOSEPH SUTTON and ANNIE WOOTTON, at Derby Street, Gisborne, under the style of Sutton and Wootton, has been dissolved, as from the 18th day of January, 1926. The business will in future be carried on by the said AMOS JOSEPH SUTTON, to whom all amounts owing to the firm of Sutton and Wootton are payable.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Syme and Weir, Solicitors, Bridge Street, Eltham, Taranaki, on Tuesday, the 16th day of February, 1926, at 7.30 o'clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the Company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
