    Approximate Position.—Latitude 18° 11′ 00″ South, longitude, 178° 28½′ East.
    Remarks.—The black and white buoys in this passage have been withdrawn.

AUSTRALIA.—NORTH-WEST COAST.
Mary Anne Passage.—Sandy Cay.—Intended New Light (U).
Mariners and others are hereby notified that a white flashing light (U) will be established on Sandy Cay on or about 10th September, 1926.
Position.—On the north-east side of the cay. Lat. 21° 15½′ S., long, 115° 27½′ E., on Chart No. 2186.
Details—
Character.—Flashing White every three seconds, thus: Flash ⅓ sec., eclipse, 2⅔ secs.
Elevation.—20 ft. Power.—1,500 candles. Visibility.—9½ miles.
Structure.—White lantern on piles 25 ft. in height.
Note.—The light will be unwatched. Further notice will be given when the light has been established.

AUSTRALIA, NORTH COAST.—MELVILLE ISLAND.—DUNDAS STRAIT.
Existence of Shoal.
Position.—Latitude, 11° 41¼′ South, longitude, 131° 29½′ East.
Remarks.—A shoal with a depth of 2 fathoms over it exists in the above position (155° 9·7 miles from the 320 foot summit on Melville Island). This shoal extends in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction.

AUSTRALIA.—EAST COAST.
South Solitary Island Light.—Intended Alteration in Period; Temporary Light to be exhibited.
Mariners and others are hereby notified that the period of the flashing white light on South Solitary Island will be altered on or about 30th September, 1926.
Position.—On the summit. Lat. 30° 12′ S., long. 153° 16′ E. on Chart No. 1026.
Character.—Flashing White every three and three-quarter second, thus: Flash 0·3 sec., eclipse 3·45 sec.
Remarks.—In other respects the light will remain unaltered. Further notice will be given when the alteration has been completed.
Temporary Light.—During the alterations the existing light will be replaced from on or about 7th September, until 30th September, by a low-power temporary light Flashing White every five seconds.

Port Stephens.—Erection of Two Beacons, Boogee Boogee Island, Karuah River.
Shipmasters and others are hereby notified that two beacons have been erected on the south end of Boogee Boogee Island.
These beacons are 217 ft. apart, erected on white posts, both having triangle-shaped tops painted in black and white stripes.
The beacons in line bear 352° 20′ mag. (N. ⅞ W. mag.) and lead 120 ft. clear of the rocky patch lying on the west side of the channel at Peach Tree Point.

BAY OF BENGAL, BURMA.—GULF OF MARTABAN.
Double Island.—Light established; Light discontinued.
Former Notice.—No. 1973 of 1925 [TEMPORARY]; hereby cancelled.
(a.) Light established :—
Position.—On the middle summit of Double Island. Lat. 15° 52′ N., long. 97° 35′ E. (approx.).
Abridged description.—F. Fl. ev. 5 sec., 120 ft., 17 M.
Characteristics :—
Character.—A fixed and flashing white light every five seconds, thus: Flash 0·4 sec., fixed light 4·6 sec.
Elevation.—120 ft. (36m6).
Visibility.—17 miles, from 353° through north to 173°.
Power.—Fixed light, 10,000 candles; flashing light, 132,000 candles.
Structure.—A masonry tower painted white, 63 ft. (19m2) in height.
(b.) Light discontinued :—
Details.—The occulting white light which was formerly exhibited from the white tower at the northern point of Double Island has been discontinued, and the tower will be dismantled.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, the registration of the industrial unions mentioned in the Schedule below will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof.
