And whereas the purchase of the Native Land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909, and its amendments :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set
out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

OTAWHAO A 10B Section 1 Block, Takapau Survey District:
Approximate area, 94 acres 0 roods 27 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
July, 1926.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road-diversions in con-
nection with the Palmerston North Deviation of the Wel-
ington – New Plymouth Railway.

deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
ington, and thereon coloured blue and yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
July, 1926.

Boundaries of Districts under the Births and Deaths Registration
Act, 1924, altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the Births and Deaths Registration
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish
the existing registration districts known as the Waipawa,
Waipukurau, and Porangahau districts, and do proclaim and
declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration
districts, the names whereof shall be the Waipawa, Wai-
pukurau, and Porangahau districts, and the boundaries
whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the
marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth
in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the
provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the sixteenth day of July, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of July,
1926.

Boundaries of Districts under the Marriage Act, 1908, altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing
marriage districts known as the Waipawa, Waipukurau, and
Porangahau districts, and do proclaim and declare that the
territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is
hereby divided anew into three marriage districts, the names
and boundaries whereof shall be as follows :—

WAIPAWA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Ruahine
Range; thence by a right line running through Trig. Station
Aorangi to the junction of the north branch of the Waipawa
River with the Makaroro River; thence by a right line to
the source of the Mangamauku River; thence down the
middle of the Mangamauku River to the north-western
boundary of Block I; thence along the north-western
boundary of Block I, Block V, and again of Block I, the north-
western and northern boundaries of Block III to the source
of the Manga-o-nuku River; thence down the middle of the
said Manga-o-nuku River to the point in line with the north-
western boundary of S.G.R. 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey
District; thence by a right line to the north-western corner
of Section 1, Block XIV, Maraekakaho Survey District;
thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1,
Block XIV aforesaid, Section 1, Block XV, Maraekakaho
Survey District, and the north-eastern boundary of the college
land to the middle of the Te Aute Road; thence along the
middle of that road to the Te Aute–Putangata Road, and
along the middle of the Te Aute–Putangata Road to the
Papanui Stream; thence down the middle of the Papanui
Stream to the Tukituki River; thence down the middle of
the Tukituki River to the Hawea Stream; thence up the
middle of the Hawea Stream to the north-western corner of
Section 4, Block III, Oero Survey District; thence along the
northern boundary of the said Section 4 to its north-eastern
corner; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 4, 5,
and 6, Block III, Oero Survey District, to the northern bound-
ary of the Te Apiti 2p No. 3 Block; thence by that boundary
to the sea-coast; thence southerly along the sea-coast to the
southern boundary of the Pourerere Survey District; thence
westerly generally along the southern boundary of the said
survey district and of Block XIV of the said district to the
westernmost corner of the said Block XIV; thence by a
right line to the south-western corner of the said Pourerere
Survey District; thence northerly along the western
boundaries of the Pourerere and Oero Survey Districts to the
Tukituki River; thence up the middle of the Tukituki River
to its source; thence by a right line to the summit of the
Ruahine Range; and northerly along the range to the place
of commencement.
