That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorized to be raised by the Hokianga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the erection of workers' dwellings, the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling the special rate of one-sixth (⅙d.) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 6th day of August, 1924, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Hokianga, such rate of one-sixth (1/6th) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000), authorized to be raised by the South Canterbury Electricpower Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of electric works, and such other matters as are provided for by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the exercise of the powers conferred upon it by sections 118, 119, and 120 of the said Act, for the benefit of the defined area denominated the "Waimate County Special Area," the said South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property of the said Waimate County Special Area, being all that portion of the County of Waimate contained within the South Canterbury Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
