BOUNDARIES OF GREYTOWN RIDING.

ALL that part of the Featherston County bounded by a line from a point on the summit of the Tararua Range due west of the source of the Waiohine River; thence along that line to the Waiohine River; thence by the right bank of the Waiohine River to its confluence with the Ruamahanga River; thence by a line along the middle of the said Ruamahanga River to the Waihenga Bridge; thence towards the south-west generally by the Featherston–Martinborough Road to the middle of the Tauherenikau River; thence by a line along the middle of the said Tauherenikau River to a point bearing 135° from Mount Marchant; thence by a right line to the said Mount Marchant; and thence by the county boundary to the point of commencement.

Date of Election of Insurance Members of the Mount Roskill Fire Board.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, I, Richard Francis Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs, charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the 29th day of June, 1926, to be the day for the holding of an election of three members of the Mount Roskill Fire Board by fire-insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business within the Mount Roskill Fire District.

Notice of Intention to take Additional Land for the Purposes of Post-office and Automatic Telephone-exchange at Courtenay Place in the City of Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a post-office and automatic telephone-exchange at Courtenay Place in the City of Wellington. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the additional land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Courtenay Place, Wellington, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to be taken: 15·22 perches.
Being portion of Sections 284 and 285, Town of Wellington, situated in the City of Wellington.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66409, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged green.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, fixing the Closing-hours of Cycle-dealers’ Shops within the Borough of Napier.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the cycle-dealers’ shops within the Borough of Napier, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the said borough be closed in the evening of working-days as follows—On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 5.30 p.m., and on Fridays at 9 p.m.:

And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I do hereby direct that on and after the 28th day of June, 1926, all the cycle-dealers’ shops within the Borough of Napier shall be closed accordingly.

The notice dated the 14th December, 1909, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th December, 1909, fixing the closing-hours of cycle-dealers’ shops within the Borough of Napier is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.
