Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Mount Eden Borough Council in respect of the said loan of twelve thousand five hundred pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Mount Eden Borough Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of twelve thousand five hundred pounds accordingly.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, and its amendments, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas the Gisborne Borough Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of twenty thousand pounds for the installation of an additional unit at the Council’s Electric Light and Power Station:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding five and three-quarters per centum per annum:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-six of the Customs Act, 1913, and by the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit the importation into New Zealand, save with the consent of the Minister of Customs, of “Cuckoo” electro-magnetic teething-collars, vended by M. J. Fecher (Limited), Northwold Road, London, or by any other firm or person, and all written or printed advertising-matter relating solely or principally to such articles.

The Northern Side of Portion of Durie Street, in the City of Wanganui, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1926.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wanganui City Council on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, viz.:
“That the Wanganui City Council, having control of the street known as Durie Street, hereby resolves that section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the City Street fronting Section 81, extending a distance of 143 links”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of Durie Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE northern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, known as Durie Street, fronting Lot 81, D.P. 275, being part Section 43, Left Bank, Wanganui River. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64937, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

The Western Side of Portion of Spring Street, in the Borough of Devonport, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Devonport Borough Council on the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, in so far as it affects Spring Street, viz.:
“That the Devonport Borough Council, having control of streets known as Spring Street and Alexander Street, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the said streets fronting on Allotments 25, 26, and 27 of Lot 24A, Section 2, Parish of Takapuna, owned by Mr. W. Bond”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Spring Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of fifteen feet from the western boundary of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Devonport, known as Spring Street, fronting Allotment 27 of Lot 24A, Section 2, Parish of Takapuna. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 63656, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and edged blue.
