DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.
PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, and any amendments thereto, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Patangata taken on the 12th day of May, 1926, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said county be on the unimproved value,—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 477 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 102 ; informal, 3.
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Castlepoint County Awatea Bridge Contribution Loan of £2,500, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Castlepoint County Council’s portion of the cost of constructing a bridge and approaches thereto over the Mangapakeha Stream at Awatea, on the Masterton–Weber Junction to Tinui Highway, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two thirty-fifths (2/35ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Castlepoint ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
